What is a favicon?

A favicon is the small icon a website shows in browser tabs, bookmarks and search results. Modern sites usually ship several versions - a classic favicon.ico, PNGs in multiple sizes, an SVG and Apple touch icons. This tool scans a page's HTML and web manifest to find them all so you can preview and download them.

Use cases

  • Grab a site's logo or icon for a design mockup or presentation
  • Inspect which icon sizes and formats a website ships
  • Recover your own site's icons when the source files are lost
  • Collect reference icons when designing your own favicon

When to use?

Use this tool whenever you need a website's icon files without digging through its source code - just enter the URL, preview every icon found and download the ones you need individually or as a ZIP.

Questions and answers

Why are some sizes missing?

The tool finds the icons a site actually publishes in its HTML and web manifest. If a site only ships one size, that is all there is to download.

Can I use these icons in my own project?

Icons and logos belong to their owners. Use them for reference or mockups, and get permission before reusing them.

Does it work with every website?

Most public sites work. Sites that block automated requests or require a login may return no icons.
