Proxy Checker

Test an HTTP, SOCKS4 or SOCKS5 proxy and see its exit IP, country and speed

Uses our server

The proxy address and login you enter are sent to our server, which connects through the proxy to test it. They are not saved.

What is this tool?

Enter a proxy and we route a request through it to see the exit IP that websites will see, along with its country, ISP and response time. Useful to confirm a proxy works and where it exits.

Note: the check runs from Cloudflare’s edge, which blocks connections to its own IP ranges and to port 25, so a small number of otherwise valid proxies may appear unreachable.

Examples

  1. Test an HTTP proxy with a login

    Input

    203.0.113.10:8080:alice:s3cret

    Output

Whether the proxy works, its exit IP and country, its latency, and whether it hides your IP (anonymous) or passes it on (transparent).

Questions and answers

What do anonymous and transparent mean?

An anonymous proxy hides your real IP from the websites you visit. A transparent proxy passes it along, so sites can still see where the request came from.

Why does my proxy fail here but work elsewhere?

The check runs from Cloudflare's network, which cannot connect to Cloudflare's own IP ranges or to port 25. Proxies that only accept whitelisted IPs will also refuse the connection.

Which proxy types are supported?

HTTP, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5. You can paste host:port or host:port:user:pass to fill in the form quickly.
